Meet Mona Ghodsi
Mona Ghodsi has played the violin since the age of 9 and continued her music education because of her passion of music. She attended Sonoma State University and received a Bachelor in music education and credential at California University Long Beach in Single Subject Music. She also has a Bachelors in Psychology from California State Fullerton and studied Speech therapy recently and received her Post Baccalaureate also. One thing that Mona teaches her students is to develop passion In music by learning rhythms, appreciating the violin or viola and learning a good posture starts a good foundation on an instrument. It is important to build on basic concepts to play for a long time and have fun and continue violin studies. Other elements Mona focuses on is ear training, note reading and sight reading. Mona Ghodsi plays in Symphony Irvine, runs in her free time and has run a marathon, spends time with friends and family and speaks Farsi and Spanish. She believes music is food to the soul and played persian classical violin from the age of 13. She loves to perform at gigs in OC, CA. She feels music brings people together and loves to be part of each joyous celebration.
